Durrës Durrës is the second most important city in Albania. Home to the most important Albanian port on the Adriatic, it is one of the country's main economic centres, as well as a renowned seaside and tourist resort. The city has frequent ferry connections with Italian ports on the Adriatic.

Documents and Visas

It is necessary to travel with a passport or a valid identity card for travel abroad, in both cases with a expiry date at least three months after the return date from Albania. No other documents will be accepted. I Non-EU citizens  who are staying for a limit of 90 days within a 6-month period does not require an entry visa. I Non-EU citizens  who must stay for a longer period they have to ask for a residence permit to the competent Albanian Authorities.

To enter Albania with a dog or other pet, you need to have with you a EU passport for pets with all vaccinations up to date with PETS.  However, they must be microchipped and a veterinary certificate of good health for the animal. Remember to have with you all that is necessary to correctly embark your animal: leash, muzzle, carrier (for small animals), the ferry ticket which must include them, and the necessary medical documentation.
