Morfimare has been operating in maritime transport for over 130 years.

Morfimare

Morfimare has been synonymous with maritime transport for over 130 years. Our experience began in 1882 when, in Bari, the Morfini & Sons which is responsible for managing commercial maritime traffic. It follows a long period of growth, until the turning point in 1942: the establishment of the Morfimare, based in Bari with offices in the ports of Molfetta and Taranto, dedicated to ferry and cruise services.

Since then, our history has run in parallel with the development of maritime, commercial, and passenger traffic, acting as a bridge especially to countries east of Italy, from Greece to the former Soviet Union.
We become port representatives and agents for countless Italian and foreign shipping companies – often as exclusive agents – increasing our regular liner services year after year, then becoming a travel agency and international customs brokers, then IATA agents and subsequently a Foreign Exchange Office accredited by the Bank of Italy. More recently, we have truly accelerated the modernisation of passenger transport, inaugurating high-speed connections to Albania and Greece.

In 2010, we obtained the AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) Certificate from the Customs Agency as a “reliable and secure” Economic Operator, for appropriate standards and prompt financial solvency. In 2011, the Customs Administration also issued us with authorisation to carry out customs operations for exports under a simplified procedure, with considerable advantages for our clients.

In the pursuit of a comprehensive service, attention to the world of yachts, both private and commercial, was essential. With our dedicated department, we assist crews and their guests in all national ports, thanks to our contacts with accredited local professionals and suppliers. This strategy was recently recognised with our inclusion in the prestigious Mediterranean Yacht Agents network, which brings together the best agents in the sector across the Mediterranean.

Today, to offer a more comprehensive range of services related to the handling of products, we utilise customs and fiscal warehouses, and our customs department specialises in all types of customs clearance operations.

MORFIMARE – A service that grows over time.
