Dubrovnik, a port city on the Adriatic Sea, is also known as Ragusa (Italian name of the Croatian city) and is among the most popular destinations in Croatia. Besides the monumental charm of the historic centre, entirely pedestrianised, it is necessary to remember that the Croatian city offers a Sea and one wonderful nature (Elaphiti archipelago); with the cable car in a few minutes you can also reach the summit of the Mount Srd. This is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the world.
Among the tourist destinations is the Visit to the Walls (the walls of Dubrovnik are almost 2 kilometres) and to the Fortress of San Giovanni(Maritime Museum). In Dubrovnik there are 2 ports: the Ferry Port and the’ Old Town Pier.
The Ferry port “Luka Dubrovnik” it is located at Gruž (in Italian, Gravosa), a district approximately 3 km from the old town.’ Old Town Pier (the historic port) is located about 500 m from the city centre, just a 6-minute walk. It is possible to reach Dubrovnik's port from other coastal towns in Croatia, such as Split e Makarska. There are also seasonal sea links from the port of Bari in Puglia, as well as from numerous Croatian islands such as Hvar, Lastovo, Mljet e Brač.
